The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards were founded in 1923 and, for nearly a century, have inspired bold ideas in creative teens throughout the country.

The Oregon Scholastic regional program is open to all students in grades 7 through 12, who live in Oregon.
The Oregon Scholastic Art Awards is celebrated with regional exhibitions and ceremonies hosted by various sponsors. Regional Gold Key selected artwork will continue on to the national competition in New York. Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) is the state of Oregon's Affiliate Partner.
